Does Entropic run on my machine or in the cloud?
The app and all your files run on your machine. When you send a message to an AI model, Entropic routes it through your chosen provider. You can use Entropic credits or bring your own API keys.
What do I need to get started?
Install Entropic on macOS, Windows, or Linux, then complete sign-in and onboarding. Entropic guides you through the first-time setup needed for your platform.
How does pricing work?
Entropic uses pay-as-you-go credits with no subscription. You can top up with Stripe and track usage in-app. If you prefer, you can also run in local keys mode and use your own provider billing instead. See full pricing details →
Is my data private and secure?
Your files stay on your machine, and all code runs inside an isolated sandbox — a sealed environment that can't access your personal files unless you allow it.
Entropic never trains models on your data. When you send a message, it goes to the AI provider you chose (like OpenAI or Anthropic), but your workspace stays private.
How can I trust the skills and tools Entropic uses?
Every tool and skill is scanned by the Cisco Skill Scanner before it reaches your machine. This checks for malicious behavior and ensures transparency, so you know exactly what your agent is running.
What can the agent actually do?
